I COULD EAT ANYTHING

Summary:
It’s late in the afternoon, and you realize you haven’t eaten much all day. Breakfast was just a slice of toast, and lunch was rushed because you didn’t have enough time between classes. Now your stomach is growling so loudly that you feel like everyone around you can hear it. You pass by a bakery, and the smell of fresh bread makes your mouth water. A food truck nearby is grilling something that smells amazing, and suddenly every option looks good. You can’t even decide what you’re craving—pizza, noodles, soup, burgers, or maybe something sweet like ice cream. It feels like no matter what someone puts in front of you, you’d probably eat it. You laugh at yourself for being so hungry but also realize you need to choose something soon before you get even more tired and cranky. While standing on the sidewalk, staring at the different restaurants and food stands, you pull out your phone to send a message about just how hungry you are.

Your Text:
“I’m starving right now. I feel like I could eat anything—literally anything sounds good at this point.”

Your Task:
Write your response text. Share how you feel about being so hungry and what kind of food you think you’ll choose.

Read the response first and then listen to the audio if necessary.

Their Audio Response (Receiver):
“Wow, sounds like you’re really hungry! Don’t just eat the first thing you see—pick something you’ll enjoy. Do you want something quick, or do you want to sit down for a real meal?”
