Ben joins an online English class from his kitchen table. He opens his notebook and checks his microphone before the lesson starts. The teacher asks a question, but Ben cannot hear her clearly. He adjusts the volume and plugs in his headphones. The sound improves immediately. During the lesson, he reads a short passage and discusses it with another student. He forgets one word, so he describes its meaning instead. His partner understands and helps him remember it. After class, Ben reviews his notes and records himself reading the passage. He notices a few mistakes and practices the difficult sentences again.
