Luis has an appointment at two o’clock.
He checks the time before he leaves home.
It is one o’clock.
Luis has time.

When Luis leaves home, he takes his bag and keys.
He closes the door.
He walks to the office.
When he gets to the office, he sits in a chair.
He waits quietly.

Luis checks the clock again.

He is still early.
He reads one paper while he waits.
He feels calm because he is on time.

At two o’clock, a worker calls his name.
Luis stands up.
He picks up his bag.
He smiles because he checked the time.
Checking the time helped Luis arrive before the appointment.
