The Long Line

There is a long line at the store.
There are six people in the line.
Ben stands at the end of the line.
A woman stands in front of Ben.
She has a small basket.

There is one cashier at the front.
There are many items on the counter.
Ben has a bottle of water.
He also has a sandwich.
He is hungry, but he is patient.

The line moves slowly at first.
Ben looks at the clock.
Then the cashier helps two people quickly.
Now there are only two people in front of Ben.
Ben feels better because the line is moving.

Soon it is Ben’s turn.
He puts the water and sandwich on the counter.
He pays for the items.
The line was long, but it moved fast.
Ben leaves the store with his lunch.
