The Missed Turn

Chloe was walking home with her older brother.

They usually took the same path every day, but this time,

Chloe was looking at something across the street.

Without paying attention, she kept walking and passed the turn they normally took.

“Chloe, wait,” her brother called.

She stopped and looked around.

“I missed the turn,” she said.

They walked back together and found the correct path.

Chloe felt a little embarrassed.

“I need to pay attention when I walk,” she said.

The next time they walked home, Chloe stayed focused and followed the path carefully.
