The Early Arrival

Daniel arrived at school much earlier than usual.

The doors were still closed, and only a few students were outside waiting.

He sat on the steps and looked around.

At first, he felt bored and didn’t know what to do.

Then he noticed a student reading quietly.

Another student was drawing in a notebook.

Daniel reached into his bag and took out his own notebook.

He began writing a short story.

As he wrote, he stopped feeling bored.

Instead, he felt calm and focused.

When the doors opened, he was ready for the day.

Later, he thought, “Coming early gave him time to feel prepared.”
