Book 22

LITTLE READER

QUEEN MAKES HER BED

READ THE PARAGRAPH

Queen is a little duck. Queen wakes up in her warm bed. She sits up and stretches her wings. She puts her feet on the floor. Her blanket falls off the bed. Queen picks up the blanket. She shakes it out. She puts it back on the bed. Then she picks up her pillow. She puts it at the top of the bed. Queen sees a little bump under the blanket. What is under there? She lifts the blanket carefully. Her toy puppy is hiding there! Queen picks up her puppy. She puts it beside her pillow. Then she pulls the blanket flat. She looks at her neat bed. Her puppy falls over again! Queen laughs and sets it up straight.
