Liam packed his bag quickly before school and rushed out the door.
He didn’t check his desk before leaving.
During class, his teacher asked everyone to take out their homework.
Liam froze.
He checked his bag again, but it wasn’t there.
“I must have left it on my desk at home,” he thought.
He felt nervous as other students turned in their work.
When it was his turn, he explained what happened.
His teacher nodded and said, “Bring it tomorrow, but be more careful.”
After school, Liam went straight home and saw his homework on his desk.
