The Quiet Answer
Nina knew the answer to the teacher’s question.
She had been listening carefully and understood the lesson.
The teacher asked, “Who can explain this?”
Nina thought about raising her hand, but she hesitated.
“What if I’m wrong?” she wondered.
Other students stayed quiet too.
After a moment, Nina slowly raised her hand.
She spoke clearly and explained her answer.
The teacher smiled and said, “That’s correct.”
Nina felt proud and a little more confident.
She realized that even if she feels unsure, it’s okay to try and share her ideas.
