The Late Bus

The bus is late today.
Mark stands at the bus stop.
He checks the time.
He is going to work.
He is not upset.

Mark takes out his phone.
He looks at the clock again.
He will call his manager if the bus is very late.
He is going to wait five more minutes.
Then he will decide what to do.

Mark looks down the street.
He sees no bus at first.
He takes a slow breath.
He keeps his bag beside him.
He stays calm while he waits.

After five minutes, the bus comes.
Mark gets on the bus.
He finds a seat near the window.
He is glad because he will get to work soon.
The late bus did not make Mark lose his calm.
