Parents & Caregivers
The Situation
You are asked to join a meeting unexpectedly. You were told it involves “a concern related to care responsibilities,” but no details were shared.
From the introduction, you learn that someone raised questions about a situation involving a child or dependent. It may relate to scheduling, supervision, or communication, but nothing specific has been confirmed.
A coordinator or case worker is present. Someone from administration is taking notes. Another adult involved in the situation is listening quietly.
You were responsible at some point, but you don’t yet know which moment or decision is being questioned. You are expected to respond clearly and calmly. Long pauses or emotional reactions may raise concern.
Your Task
Respond immediately and thoughtfully.
You do not have all the details, but you are still required to respond.
Avoid sounding defensive or overly emotional.
