LITTLE READER

QUEEN FEEDS THE BIRDS

READ THE PARAGRAPH

Queen is a little duck. Queen wakes up early. She hears birds outside. She looks out the window. Many little birds are in the yard. Queen wants to feed them. She gets a small bag of seeds. She goes outside with Lucy. Queen stands by the bird feeder. She pours seeds into the feeder. Some seeds fall on the ground. The little birds fly down. One bird hops near Queen. Queen stays very quiet. Another bird lands on the fence. Queen smiles and points. Then a big wind blows. The bag falls over. Seeds go everywhere! Queen and Lucy laugh. They fill the feeder again. Soon the birds come back to eat.
