What is a Prepositional Phrase?

A prepositional phrase begins with a preposition and ends with a noun or pronoun. It often tells where, when, how, or what something relates to.

Structure:

Preposition + object (noun/pronoun)
It may also include adjectives or articles.

Examples:

  • She sat on the couch.

  • The keys are under the table.

  • We walked through the park.
